Sacramento Police arrest suspect for Natomas stabbing death

The Sacramento Police Department has arrested a suspect in the stabbing death of a man in the Natomas area on Sunday.

UPDATE:  Detectives arrested 32-year-old, Angelina Hernandez, after she was initially detained on-scene by responding officers. She was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for homicide charges on February 5, 2023.

On 02/05/2023, just after 10:39 a.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 1800 Block of Club Center Drive for a report of an assault. Once on-scene, officers located one victim, a male adult, who sustained at least one life-threatening stab wound. Officers rendered emergency medical aid and the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment where he later succumbed to his injuries.  

Responding officers detained one individual at the scene.  

Due to the circumstances, homicide detectives and crime scene investigators will be responding to take over the investigation. They will be processing the scene, canvassing the area, and interviewing witnesses. The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation, however; Detectives believe this was an isolated incident and believe there is no outstanding public safety risk.  

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after next of kin have been notified.
