The Sacramento Police Department has arrested a mother for felony murder in the death of her son. The press release below gives details on the arrest. The mother is being held without bail.

On February 28, 2023, just after 7:23 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 2400 Block of Meadowview Rd regarding a medical aid call. Upon arrival, the Sacramento Fire Department rendered emergency medical aid to one victim, a male juvenile, and transported the victim to an area hospital. Despite life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Responding officers detained one individual at the scene.
Based on the circumstances, Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators took over the investigation. Detectives and crime scene investigators processed the scene and conducted a thorough canvass of the area for witnesses and additional information.
Detectives arrested the victim’s mother, 20-year-old, Samisha Frazier, after she was initially detained on-scene by responding officers. She was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for homicide charges on March 1, 2023.
This investigation remains active; however, detectives believe that there are no outstanding suspects related to this incident.
