On Friday, March 10, 2023, the victim in the case was approached by her estranged husband, later identified as 41-year-old Samuel Garcia-Gutierrez. Garcia-Gutierrez entered the victim’s vehicle, presented a firearm and forced the victim to drive to his residence with him. Garcia-Gutierrez kept her there against her will for several hours and sexually assaulted her.
