Teen shot and killed in Vintage Park area on Saturday
The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department is investigating the shooting death of a 17-year-old male on Saturday afternoon in the Vintage Park area of Sacramento County. The victim was shot in the head in what the sheriff’s department calls a gang-related shooting.
The shooting happened around 6 pm near Helmsdale Drive & Vintage Park Drive. No suspects have been identified in the shooting. The Sacramento Coroner will identify the victim after determining the next of kin.
The death marks a deadly month in the Sacramento area with the Sacramento Police Department and Sacramento Sheriff’s Department investigating several homicides.
