Road Closures for July 4th Events
Keeping July 4th events safe for those attending and participating in the Run4Hunger and Elk Grove Salutes the Red, White & Blue will result in road closures and detours on Tuesday in different parts of the city.

Run4Hunger

Elk Grove Food Bank Services will host the Run4Hunger that will generate closures near District56 on Tuesday morning from 7-11 a.m.

Street Closures and Detours:

Civic Center Drive will be closed from Big Horn Blvd. to Laguna Springs Drive from 7 to 11 a.m.
Northbound Big Horn Blvd. will be closed from Whitelock Parkway to Lotz Parkway from 7 to 11 a.m.
Both directions of Laguna Springs Drive south of Elk Grove Boulevard, Auto Passage Drive, Wolfpack Lane, and Lotz Parkway will be closed from 7 to 11 a.m.
A police escort will guide vehicles along Laguna Springs Drive between Elk Grove Boulevard and Civic Center Drive during the closure.
Auto Center Drive and roads traveling through the Elk Grove Auto Mall will be closed from 7 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
Northbound Promenade Parkway will be closed from Kyler Road to Laguna Grove Drive from 7 to 11 a.m.

Alternative Routes: Motorists traveling north or southbound in this section of the City during the event are encouraged to use Bruceville Road during the closure. East and westbound travelers should use Elk Grove Blvd. between the hours of 6 and 11 a.m. to avoid closures.

Elk Grove Salutes the Red, White & Blue

The City of Elk Grove will implement temporary traffic controls across southeast Elk Grove for the 27th annual Elk Grove Salutes the Red, White & Blue event scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Elk Grove Regional Park (9950 Elk Grove-Florin Road).
Traffic Closures & Detours: A traffic plan has been created, and road closures and detours will be in effect from approximately 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Streets closed from 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.:Southbound East Stockton Blvd. at Valley Oak LaneNorthbound East Stockton Blvd. at Elk Grove Florin Road

Streets closed from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.:Southbound West Stockton Blvd at Laguna GroveNorthbound Promenade/West Stockton Blvd at Kyler RdWhitelock Parkway at West Stockton Blvd

Streets closed from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.:Southbound East Stockton Blvd. at the northbound SR-99 Elk Grove Blvd. off-ramp. Southbound Elk Grove-Florin Road at Elk Grove Blvd.

Streets closed from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.:Northbound East Stockton Blvd. from Grant Line Rd.

Detours in effect from 8:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.:Neighborhood traffic east of Elk Grove Regional Park will be directed onto northbound Elk Grove-Florin Road towards Elk Grove Blvd. (Right turn only).
Traffic exiting the east side of Elk Grove Regional Park will be directed onto southbound Elk Grove-Florin Road (Right turn only) onto southbound East Stockton Blvd. (Left turn only). From there, motorists can proceed onto Grant Line Rd.

Traffic exiting the west side of Elk Grove Regional Park AND westbound on Valley Oak Lane will be directed onto northbound East Stockton Blvd. (right turn only).

Traffic eastbound on Valley Oak Lane will be directed onto northbound Emerald Oak.

Traffic exiting from the area of Hampton Oaks Drive, Union Park Way, or Elkmont Drive will be directed onto southbound East Stockton Blvd.

Ride SacRT for FREE to the Park:
SacRT is offering FREE shuttle rides on two special routes to get to and from Elk Grove Park on Sunday, July 4th. The shuttles are available every 15 minutes starting at 4:30 p.m. Learn more at
