Cafe 86 coming to Elk Grove

A restaurant that specializes in Ube pastries and drinks is coming to Elk Grove. A press release announced that Cafe 86 is expanding and adding a location in Elk Grove.

Ube is a purple yam popular in Filipino food culture. Cafe 86 has a variety of pastries and drinks that are Ube flavored. Their menu also has a small number of panini sandwich options.

Elk Grove Laguna News checked with the city of Elk Grove to find out the proposed location and was told there is no pending application under Cafe 86 yet, but there could be something under a different name.

Cafe 86 has several locations in California, mainly in the Bay Area and Southern California. Their website also shows a location in Roseville coming soon.
