Elk Grove police officers arrest two people after hit and run and car chase

Elk Grove police officers arrested two people after a hit-and-run and car chase earlier this afternoon.

The incident happened around 2 pm Wednesday afternoon. An Elk Grove police motor officer attempted to pull over a driver for a vehicle code violation when the driver took resulting in a pursuit. The vehicle was involved in two non-injury hit-and-run collisions before two people fled from the vehicle on foot near Elk Grove Blvd and Foulks Ranch Drive.

Elk Grove police officers set up a perimeter and located both suspects with the help of a helicopter and K9 unit.

Elk Grove police said, “The driver is facing several charges, including evading, hit and run, and resisting arrest, in addition to an outstanding felony warrant. The second suspect is being treated at a local hospital, and once cleared, he will be booked at the Main Jail for resisting arrest.”
