![]() Cooling Center Opens Today In anticipation of work week temperatures topping the century mark, the City of Elk Grove will open a cooling center starting today, Monday, August 14, and operating daily from Noon to 8 p.m. through Wednesday, August 16 at the Elk Grove Police Department located at 8400 Laguna Palms Way. The Cooling Center is open to anyone who lacks shelter or adequate home cooling. A limited number of animal kennels will be available to house pets, if needed. |
