Join the Diversity & Inclusion Commission
Elk Grove’s diversity is one of its most amazing characteristics. Members of the Diversity and Inclusion Commission assist the City through education and outreach, advocacy, and engaging the community as ambassadors. Commissioners provide the City Council with feedback and recommendations for creating a more equitable, accessible, safe, welcoming and inclusive government and community. Recruitment is now open to fill one vacancy on the Diversity and Inclusion Commission. This is a non-paid, volunteer position for Elk Grove residents appointed by the Mayor with the consensus of the City Council. Applicants must be able to commit to attending monthly meetings and participate in at least 70% of all Commission-hosted activities throughout the year. Learn more about this opportunity and how to apply before the September 20 deadline.
