Benefits Flow from New Water Resource Project
Even after a wet year, we still need all the water resources we can get to ensure a reliable water supply and lessen the likelihood of water restrictions during future droughts—the new Harvest Water project will help. The project will deliver tertiary-treated water from the recently completed EchoWater Resource Recovery Facility, formerly the Sacramento Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant, to agriculture and habitat lands in southern Sacramento County. In late 2023, Harvest Water pipeline construction will begin. Once complete, pipelines will deliver recycled water from the EchoWater Resource Recovery Facility near Elk Grove to agriculture and habitat lands in southern Sacramento County. Construction is expected to continue into 2026 and will take place along multiple roadways in Elk Grove and Sacramento County, including Franklin Boulevard, Bruceville Road, Core Road, Ed Rau Road, and Eschinger Road. For project details and construction plans visit sacharvestwater.org, call (916) 876-3322, or attend their community meeting on Monday, October 2 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Laguna Town Hall (3020 Renwick Avenue).

There’s a New Vibe in Old Town
Old Town is the OEG—the original Elk Grove—and while some of the buildings can connect us to our 1800s roots, what’s inside and around those buildings is very much rooted in today. It’s a place to enjoy an eclectic array of boutique shopping and independent restaurants. It also offers a vibrant nightlife and is the hub for unique indoor-outdoor public and private events.
