Two people killed when stolen Tesla crashes into minivan

The driver of a stolen Tesla and one occupant of a minivan the Tesla crashed into were killed on Saturday afternoon.

The Tesla owner reported the vehicle stolen and was able to track the car and alert law enforcement. Sacrament Sheriff deputies attempted to pull the Tesla over but were unsuccessful. The Sheriff’s helicopter was able to track the Tesla as it crashed into the minivan on Kiefer Blvd between South Watt and Florin Perkins.

Sacramento Fire Department firefighters were on the scene and attempted to rescue the occupants. The collision started a fire. There were two people in the minivan. One person was killed along with the driver of the stolen Tesla.
