Police Presence to Increase During the Holidays
Throughout the busy holiday shopping season, the Elk Grove Police Department will increase patrols around local shopping centers. Officers will be in marked patrol vehicles, unmarked vehicles, and on foot—helping prevent crime and keeping shoppers and retailers safe.

Three Cheers for Trashy Volunteers
Thanksgiving may be over, but we didn’t want the year to pass by without sharing how thankful we are for the city’s trashiest volunteers. The Elk Grove Anti-Trash Group spends their Saturday mornings cleaning up public spaces #InElkGrove. This photo shows some of their handiwork cleaning along Auberry Drive, East Stockton Boulevard, and Sheldon Road earlier this month. The group collected an estimated 1000 lbs. of trash that day!
We thank all of these volunteers for their steadfast commitment to the community, their tenacity for tidiness, and their heart for local service. If you’d like to join in a Saturday morning cleanup, contact the group on Facebook.
