Three suspects arrested for robbery and assault outside South Sacramento Asian market

The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department arrested three men who robbed and assaulted a woman in March earlier this year. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the SF Asian Supermarket in South Sacramento. The woman suffered suffered serious spinal cord injuries in the attack.

The Sheriff’s Department released the names and booking photos of the suspect on its Facebook page.

On March 28, 2023, at approximately 4:30 PM, Deputies from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Central Patrol Division responded to a shopping center parking lot (S.F. Asian Supermarket) near Stockton Boulevard and 65th Street in South Sacramento about a robbery that had just occurred. The victim finished shopping and was walking to her vehicle in the parking lot, when the suspect vehicle approached her. Two suspects got out of the vehicle, physically assaulted the victim, and took her purse. The suspects got back in their vehicle and fled the scene.

The victim sustained major injuries to her spinal cord and had to be transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment.

Sheriff’s Robbery Detectives conducted an extensive investigation and eventually were able to identify the three suspects involved as: Nigel Patterson, Michael Lambert, and Kyle McBride; all from Sacramento. On Wednesday, November 29, 2023, Detectives located and arrested all three suspects. While Lambert has bonded out, the other two remain in custody.
