Props on our Pavement
The Public Works Department has been recognized by the International Slurry Surfacing Association (ISSA) as a 2024 Agency Pavement Preservation and Sustainability Program Award winner. This award is presented to agencies who have been champions in the promotion, use and success of pavement preservation applications represented by ISSA. The award will be presented next month at the ISSA’s 62nd Annual Meeting.

Have you read about the Zoo?
The proposed zoo in Elk Grove has reached a major milestone with the release of the project’s Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR). The Draft EIR analyzes the potential environmental impacts of the construction and operation of the zoo. The public comment period is open until February 20. The City will also hold a public meeting on Tuesday, February 6 at 6:00 pm to receive public comments on the Draft EIR in the City Council Chambers (8400 Laguna Palms Way). Submit your comments on the Draft EIR.
