The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department conducted a human trafficking operation that resulted in the arrests of 27 men and 22 vehicles were towed. One man was on parole for child molestation.

The department posted the results of the operation on its Facebook page.

On Friday, March 22, 2024, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Bureau conducted a Human Trafficking operation targeting sex buyers.

During the operation, 27 sex buyers were arrested. Of the arrested suspects, was an individual on parole with a prior conviction for child molestation, as well as a commercial truck driver still in his big rig.

Some of these buyers bargained with undercover deputies, proposing money, narcotics, and even a chicken sandwich.

Additionally, 22 vehicles were towed, including the commercial big rig filled with… tapioca pudding.
