Suspect arrested for child molestation, detectives looking for more possible victims

The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department in conjunction with the Sacramento Police Department arrested a suspect for sexually molesting an 8-year-old. Detectives are also looking into the possibility there could be more victims.

The department posted the arrest details on its Facebook page.


On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, with the help of the Sacramento Police Department, arrested 25-year-old JW Jesse Geiger for two counts of Lewd or Lascivious acts on a child by force or fear. The arrest comes after the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Child Abuse Bureau (CAB) conducted a lengthy investigation into the abuse of an 8-year-old child.

At the time of arrest, Geiger was in possession of a firearm. Geiger was transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail and booked on a $400,000 bail.

Detectives are concerned there may be additional unreported victims.
