Want to Work in the Tech Industry?
Now is the time to transition to a career in the tech industry. Join the City and CyberProud at the forefront of innovation and opportunity at an exclusive technology-focused career event this Tuesday, April 23 at District56 from 4-7 p.m.
As part of Invest Elk Grove, the City’s ambitious Office of Economic Development initiative, this event will connect you with some of the brightest minds in cyber security, infrastructure support, and software development. This event is free to attend, but registration is required. Space is limited. Dress for an interview. Learn more.

Keeping Our Waterways in Focus
Springtime Sierra snowmelt will soon descend on local creeks and waterways and Elk Grove’s Public Works staff have added a new online tool to monitor our local creeks. The new online creek monitoring system will report real-time data on water levels from six locations throughout the city. This tool will be especially helpful to track next winter’s flood conditions, but the public can access information anytime. View the current water levels.

Special Waste Collection Center Turns 10!
It’s been 10 years since the opening of Elk Grove’s Special Waste Collection Center (SWCC). The facility plays a vital role in offering residents and small businesses a dedicated space for the responsible disposal of hazardous waste, e-waste, tires, and more. Not only does the SWCC keep these materials out of the landfill, but it also enables products that are still usable to be repurposed by stocking them on the shelves of the Reuse Room—where residents can get partially used or new products such as paint, cleaners, and more for free. Additionally, the SWCC accepts recyclable materials including cardboard, green waste, Styrofoam, and metal helping keep these materials out of landfills. The SWCC is open Sunday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about the facility, visit elkgrovecy.org/recycle.
