Looking for your next fun Friday outing? Join us and Paint at The Preserve this Friday, June 21 from 11 am to 1 p.m. at District56. We’ll supply everything you need to paint rocks to place along The Preserve’s pathways. Show us your skills and share them with everyone. Open to all ages and free to attend. Learn more. 

Smithsonian Traveling Exhibit Arrives in Elk Grove
Have you ever wondered how unconscious biases might be affecting your own decisions and interactions with others? The Bias Inside Us, a Smithsonian Institution project, is coming to Elk Grove! This exciting initiative combines a traveling exhibition with community engagement programs designed to increase awareness of implicit bias and its impact. Presented in partnership by the Elk Grove Unified School District and the City, this project will provide insights from the science of bias and explore strategies for challenging these biases in yourself and your community. Join us in fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment for all! Open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., June 17-July 12. Extended hours are available on select dates. Minions are taking over the Elk Grove Aquatics Center
Join the City and Cosumnes CSD for a special showing of Despicable Me 3 on Saturday, June 22 at the Elk Grove Aquatics Center. This dive-in movie night is the perfect way to play and stay cool with your family, friends and neighbors. Pool is open from 4-8 p.m. Movie begins at 6 p.m. Concessions will be open to buy those all-important snacks. Admission is $8 for ages 5 and older, $5 for ages 2-4, and free for the tikes under 2. Learn more.

A Bluesy Summer Starts Here
Make plans to join us for Blues in the Grove at District56 on Sunday July 21 from Noon to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for this indoor show featuring the Mick Martin Blues Band, Zydeco Flames, Annie Sampson, and Bob Jones and the Chosen Few. Hosted by the Elk Grove Arts Commission. $40 General Admission. Get your tickets today! 

Got fireworks you need to get rid of safely?
Bring both legal and illegal fireworks to the Fireworks Amnesty Event hosted by Cosumnes Fire Department and the City of Elk Grove. Drive onto the station ramp, follow the signs, and safely hand over your fireworks for proper destruction—no questions asked, no criminal prosecution. Please note: we cannot accept homemade fireworks.
