Don’t let the cold weather stop you from staying active! The heated pools at the Elk Grove Aquatics Center and Wackford Aquatic Complex offer a comfortable, refreshing way to keep moving all season.
Kick off your New Year’s resolutions with the 10-Mile Swim Challenge this January and February! See if you can reach 704 laps—the distance needed to hit 10 miles! Join Elk Grove’s Arts & Creative Economy Commission
Are you an artist, performer, creative business owner, arts educator, collector, or simply a passionate supporter of the arts? The City of Elk Grove is calling on passionate residents to apply for seven (7) voting member positions on the Arts and Creative Economy Commission.
The Arts and Creative Economy Commission will advise the City Council and staff on programs, projects, and strategies to grow and sustain Elk Grove’s arts and creative economy. This includes recommending the type, location, and maintenance of public art, guiding the development and updates of a comprehensive arts strategy, and promoting Elk Grove as a destination for arts and creativity. The Commission will present an annual report on the state of the arts and creative economy and fulfill additional tasks as assigned by the City Council or City Manager.
This is your chance to give back, make an impact, and be part of something bigger. Apply by February 5.
