A early morning bottle cleaning to prepare for a beautiful day bottling the 2014 Primavera. Winemaker Steve Vannatta intuited this intriguing blend would yield a singular wine of great character. Using Lodi AVA Sangiovese and Tempranillo grapes from two of his favorite regions: Italy and Spain,

Primavera is just that; accomplished with a interesting approach and successful conclusion.
Sangiovese gives lift with floral notes and brighter flavor of cherries, plum and wild raspberries while the Tempranillo adds bolder spice and brambles and a pleasing dustiness to the flavors. The marriage is enveloped in a veneer of oak with a long, mouth-filling finish.
