I think trying to get to the site makes it a little harder to find or post. Maybe that’s just me

They have a food pantry at Sac State – I’ve had my kids drop off food to it.

Bev, it’s all making sense now. She wasn’t too pleasant the last few times my kids went in there. They just thought she was having a bad day. She must not have been happy since they knew they were closing. Try El Jardin, they are really good. They are located in the Bel Air shopping center at Waterman and Elk Grove Blvd.

I seriously want to go back to just using checks and cash. My husband and I went into Target, he put in his card (has the new chip) and it kept getting an error code, 3 times, and wouldn’t take it. Finally I put in my card, (no chip yet) and ran it thru fine. Both cards connect to the same checking acct. Later that night I logged in to our bank acct. and it had actually pulled all three times from my husbands card and once from mine. The bank did catch it and reversed the charges. So was it the machines fault at Target? Targets Fault? The chips fault or the bank?

Thank you for saving the thread. I’m reading it for the first time, only half way thru, all I can say is WOW!!! But at least I know what you are now referring to when you bring up the Lunch Lady.

I do remember receiving private messages for me to go look at what someone posted and how mean they were and to score them down – I thought they just had a bit too much time on their hand and would come back with something a bit sarcastic and say I actually enjoyed their point of view

    I don’t know why they closed –
If you enjoyed their food you might want to try Tea Garden on Laguna Blvd. similar menu (almost exact). They are related somehow to Panda South.

I saw this on the FB page of EG online yard sale site earlier today:

FREE: “Elk Grove Pick-up Basketball Every Saturday at 8 am (outdoor courts at Joseph Sims Elementary in Laguna): age ranges from mid-30s to early 60s. Skill level ranges from former team players to scrubs. Some of these guys have awful looking form, but nobody cares – we’re just trying to have some fun and try hard!
NO hero ball, NO hard fouls and NO arguments. Good strong competition and we all want to win, but ego doesn’t drive the play. Just having fun and trying not to get injured!
Very friendly group. We will introduce ourselves to you so don’t worry about feeling out of place.
We’ve been playing for over 10 years and ALWAYS want to see new faces. That means you!
PM me, Email me for more info at Scott@ScottBraithwaite.com or just show up! : )

Wait – they called the FD to bring her in? They would not hand you a wheel chair and you take her in yourself??

When my daughter was born almost 22 years ago we called 911 – she was born before they arrived (and Joy knows how close they are to our home) – Everything was done, except for the ride to the hospital. We received a bill for around 600 to 680, can’t really remember. I sent to our insurance company and they denied it because it wasn’t pre-approved. I had to explain that wasn’t planned, had to talk to quite a few people to get it approved. I can’t remember how much ended up being covered.
